Who We Are

The Institute of ADR Practitioners – Africa serves as a hub for professional mediators, arbitrators, conciliators, negotiators, and ADR educators. We provide structure, certification, and capacity-building to enhance professional practice, standards and ethical conduct.

Through training, policy advocacy, and collaboration, we are working to make ADR the preferred mechanism for dispute resolution in Ghana and Africa, from local communities to corporate boardrooms.

Professional Accreditation and Certification

We are responsible for setting and maintaining the professional standards required for recognition and certification of ADR practitioners across Africa.

  • Designing and delivering structured training and assessment programmes
  • Issuing professional certifications for mediators, arbitrators, conciliators, and negotiators
  • Maintaining a verified register of certified practitioners
  • Ensuring uniformity and quality of ADR training across jurisdictions

Development and Enforcement of Standards and Ethical Codes

Upholding the integrity of the profession is central to our mission. We develop, publish, and enforce a comprehensive Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct.
